Dumbs: A person of profound musical retardation having a mental age (and possibly a girlfriend) below three years and generally being unable to learn a song completely and / or correctly despite decades of practice.

Dumbs-ism: Refers to whatever excuse a "Dumbs" might have for not learning a song correctly.
Such as:
* "No one ever really uses scales."
* "I do my own version."
* "We only do originals."
* "It sounds right to me."
* "I going to move over to bass."
* "Bass is easy, you just find the root note and slide on down, and every thing's within fingers reach!"
* "I'm going to switch back to guitar. Bass is too far below my musical abilities."

Dumbsosophy: A set of ideas or beliefs regarding practice which result in a "grossly inadequate" or "Dumbs" version of a song."
Origin: Our friend Mike Adams.

Georging, or "Pulling a George": Refers to the practice of leaving key equipment at home or in the van because you are too lazy to carry it into the gig.  Origin: A drummer named (you guessed it) George who played with 'Street Legal' for a while. When he started playing with us, he was using a Monster "Neil Peart" kit which then proceeded to dwindle weekly until the point at which it could be better described as a "Stray Cats" kit.

"The F'ck Blanket": A ratty old blanket that Josh Parrish carried around in his van. The primary use for this covering was to lay on while changing the oil in his vehicle. However, it was also used as emergency bedding (in a field, the back of a truck, on the railroad tracks, ...Josh's basement floor, etc.) for band members in need. It was also occasionally used as a decorative cover for Jeff Arritt's drum set. Something that he didn't find especially funny.

"The Street Legal Museum": Refers to the fine collection (once housed in Josh's basement) of apparel "forgotten" by groupies as they left a band members house the next morning. We have long speculated that this was a subtle means of "marking new territory" since, peeing on someone's leg might be a little too obvious, and none of us could ever remember getting up in the morning and forgetting to put on our underwear.

Sleestak "Sleazstak":Not to be confused with a Sleestak from the 1970's Sid and Marty Krofft Saturday morning TV show "The Land of the Lost." A Sleazstak is the lowest form of band groupie. They are often described with the statement; "she's not that pretty, but she's got a great body." Typically hunting in packs, Sleazstaks ferociously stalk their hapless band-mate victims, often weakening their prey's 'big head' faculties with chemicals. They then confuse them with Sleazstak lodgic like "I won't f*** you because I don't want you to think I'm a sl*t, but I will give you a b*** j**." or, "Me and my husband are getting along better now, so I don't think I should f*** you anymore, but I'll still give you a b*** j**." (When we heard about that one, we all wanted to know: What happens if they're getting along even better next time? Do you get downgraded to a hand j**? When she goes home, what does she tell her husband? Guess what honey, I didn't f*** anyone else tonight. I just gave him a b*** j**!) WTF?

Victims of Sleazstak attacks often feel guilt, remorse, and embarrassment regarding their ordeal, sometimes denying the incident ever took place, or sheepishly replying "briefly" when a concerned band-mate poses the question: "jeeter?"
